Who, me?

Hi, my name is Vu. It sounds a bit like Will, or View, like “Will you kindly View Vu’s work?" I’m from Vietnam, but I moved to the UK to pursue my writing. I like reading, and my favorite author is Neil Gaiman. I mostly write about Mythological stories, from Greek to Egypt to Norse, but my focus is on my country’s own lores about the Gods. I post every Tuesday (flash fiction, random thoughts/essays) and Wednesday (the main series I’m working on). So, if you’re interested in our culture, in different voices, in the power of words, consider subscribing for free.

Wonder why Saturn (Chronos) is devouring his Sons? Subscribe and find out! Artist: Francisco Goya

My ultimate goal with Substack is to publish the entirety of my novel here, and everything you’ve read on my page will all be tied to said novel. If this piques your curiosity, why not spare me a cup of coffee every month? For just £5 a month, or £50 a year (you save £10!).

Yeah, you.

If you subscribe, you’ll be contributing to my joy, as well as the awareness of Vietnamese mythology. I promise it will be worth your time. Or if you think someone else would like these sorts of stories, please share my Substack with them.

A Vietnamese writer. I retell Vietnamese Mythology for the global audience, or at least I am trying to. I also write down random thoughts I manage to catch during a run. I am a postmodernist, and my favourite author is Neil Gaiman.
